Job Description
Job Summary:
Processing all cash transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures. The cashier will greet customers when entering and leaving the branches, maintaining a clean and tidy checkout area and keeping reports of cash and credit transactions.
Main Responsibilities:
•Login to the system on cashier’s code.
•Open a working day, sending attendance and data.
•Count cash box.
•Prepare and send reports for control, head cashier and operation (regarding the previous day).
•Clean and organize the cashier’s area, check cashier’s need (bags, cash roll, official invoice, brochures…) and order the missing ones from Head Office, Warehouses and Marketing ….
•Backup, receive and update data sent from Control Department.
•Welcome customers, ask them if they need help and guide them to the employee that can help them.
•Ask every client about his/her M card, and make new to those who don’t have, and fill satisfaction survey.
•Pleasantly deal with customers to ensure satisfaction.
•Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information.
•Handle cash transactions with customers using cash registers.
•Give customer receipts, refunds, change or vouchers.
•Tell customer about invoice amount/change and thank them for their visit.
•Put customer’s items in bags and envelops as well as distribute flyers and deactivate alarms.
•Collect bon rests (keep updating invoices on work flow sent by Head Cashier).
•Follow up with old companies, and open new zero days and on accounts for new ones.
•Define books to collectors, receive payments from delivery.
•Send, receive, and resend transfers made between branches.
•Make consumption, and transposition.
•Answer the phone.
•Report any problem on POS, visa machine, and alarm deactivator.
•Helping in other sections.
Job Structure:
Work according to established cashier procedures and technical standards.
Reporting Channel:
Branch Manager.
Job Characteristics:
ModeratePhysical effort.
Ability to work under pressure.
Basic understanding of sales principals and customer service practices.
Work Schedule:
Day and/or Night Shift.
Skills Description
Education:
High school, technical or university degree.
Experience:
One year of relevant work experience as a cashier.
Languages:
Proficiency in Arabic and English.
Computer Skills:
Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft office applications.
